Prepare for Your Procedure

Although surgical procedures are not performed by Dr. Marilyn Kutzscher, she works closely with specialists to provide the comprehensive information needed for a successful procedure. To gather this information, she schedules pre-op visits in San Francisco about one month before your surgery. These appointments are meant to answer your questions, explain what to expect during surgery, provide surgery day instructions and perform any tests needed prior to surgery such as:

• Blood tests and other lab work
• X-rays
• Heart test with an electrocardiogram (ECG)
• Imaging tests such as an ultrasound, MRI or CT scan, etc.

This information is shared directly with your surgeon. If Dr. Kutzscher has any concerns, she will alert your surgeon well in advance of your procedure.
