Dr. Eugene E. Lee

Dr. Eugene E. Lee is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician and a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. Dr. Lee has been practicing in San Francisco since 2009.  Born and raised in here in the Bay Area, he attended college at UCLA, graduate school at Yale, and medical school in North Carolina.  He completed his internal medicine residency at UC Davis with a concentration in primary care.  After finishing residency, he was selected to be a Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at UC Davis

Following residency, Dr. Lee became a core member of the UC Davis faculty practice where he taught residents and medical students key aspects of clinical care while also taking care of a diverse patient panel.  In 2009, he moved his young family to San Francisco to join the teaching faculty at the CPMC Internal Medicine Residency.  There he continued to educate young doctors on outpatient medical care and became an adjunct clinical faculty member for UCSF.  He soon was promoted to Associate Program Director of the CPMC Internal Medicine Residency and Clinical Informatics Champion for the region.  Though he wore many hats, Dr. Lee continued to dedicate time to his patients and his practice of primary care.

Dr. Lee values long-term relationships with patients and the ability to deeply understand their health.  He strives to practice evidence-based, comprehensive care for adult patients with an emphasis on prevention.  His goal is to manage chronic health, prevent further disease, and empower patients to take control of their own health.  He believes in the power of care coordination, long-term relationships, and team based care in the complex world of modern medicine.

Dr. Lee lives in SF with his partner and their 2 young children. He has served on several CPMC committees including the Diabetes Advisory Council, the Quality Improvement Committee, and Clinical Competency Committee.

He enjoys travel, skiing, biking, gardening, cooking and spending time with his large extended bay area family.
