Dr. Julia Lewis-Hatheway
Dr. Julia Lewis-Hatheway is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician. She was born and raised in the East Bay. A dual Canadian American citizen, she went to the University of Toronto for undergrad where she studied History, Anthropology, and English. She attended medical school in St. Louis at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at CPMC in San Francisco and after finishing residency, was selected to be a Chief Resident at CPMC.
After residency, she worked as a hospitalist with Pacific Inpatient Medical Group (PIMG) at hospitals in the Bay Area. She rotated between Sutter Santa Rosa, Novato, CPMC Mission Bernal, and CPMC Davies. Ultimately, she missed developing long term relationships with patients and being able to help people with long term management. She decided to transition to primary care and having worked with Dr. Eugene Lee and Dr. Marilyn Kutzscher during her residency, was delighted to join the practice in 2022.
Dr. Lewis-Hatheway is interested in chronic disease management, preventative screening, and longevity research. Her goal is to establish long term relationships with patients that focus on a collaborative approach to addressing individual’s health goals. She is passionate about evidence based medicine and about making individualized choices for patients based on their needs.
Dr. Lewis-Hatheway lives on the Peninsula with her finance who is a breast cancer imaging researcher. In her spare time, she enjoys backpacking/hiking, reading murder mysteries, making wine, and babysitting her nephews.
